CentaurField Core · a field tracking module built in-house by Centaurtech and fitted into client applications
Offline first field activity tracking

Proof that the trip actually happened.

Your worker starts an activity. The phone records the whole journey with the screen locked and no signal at all. When connectivity returns, the complete record syncs back and your office can prove it was never altered along the way.

CentaurField Core is a module we built in-house and fit into the application you already run, so field proof stops being a phone call and a guess. Everything below runs live in your browser. Press start and break it however you like.

Works with no signal Android and iOS Records cannot be quietly edited Fits into your existing app

Dead zones stop being a problem

Basements, plantations, tunnels, offshore, rural roads. The journey keeps recording the whole time and catches up on its own once there is signal again.

Records nobody can quietly edit

Each record is sealed the moment it is captured. If anything is changed afterwards, by anyone, the system flags it instead of letting it pass.

Honest about what it missed

If the phone lost its fix or the app was shut down, the report says so in plain language. It never invents a straight line to fill the hole.

Shaped to your job, not ours

What counts as an activity is configured per client. A patrol, a service visit, a transfer, a delivery. Same module, your terminology.

Live demo

Run a tracked activity right now.

Press start, then try to break it the way a real day breaks it. Cut the network. Drop the GPS fix. Kill the app mid journey. Edit the record behind the system's back. Watch what it does about each one.

Held on the phone

empty

Tamper evident seal

No points recorded yet.

Sync and verification

The verification result appears once the activity is stopped and everything has been sent.

The demo runs at an accelerated pace so a full journey fits in under a minute. In the field the recording interval is tuned per client to balance detail against battery.

Where it fits

One module, a lot of field jobs.

If somebody has to travel to a place, do something there, and be believed about it afterwards, this is the module. Each card is a place it earns its keep.

Engineers servicing heavy equipment on site

Engineering field ops

Technician travel and service visits tied to the job record. Time on site stops being a claim and starts being evidence.

Officers documenting evidence

Evidence and chain of custody

Authorised transfers where custody has to hold up later. Who moved it, along which route, and whether the account was touched afterwards.

Field team walking through forest in safety vests

Ranger patrols and enforcement

Forestry, conservation and compliance fieldwork deep in areas with no coverage for hours at a time.

Technician working on a telecom tower

Utility and tower inspections

Remote assets across a wide footprint. Proof the crew reached the site, not just the nearest access road.

Waste collection crew working a street round

Waste and municipal rounds

Route completion per truck, per street, per shift. The answer to a council asking why one neighbourhood was missed.

Security patrol team on duty

Security guard patrols

Verified rounds instead of a signed sheet at the end of the shift. Gaps show up as gaps.

Aerial view of a palm estate and access road

Plantation and estate work

Block by block field walks across estates where a phone has no signal from the moment it leaves the office.

Courier driving a delivery van

Last mile and cold chain

The journey behind the drop, not just the signature at the door. Useful the day a customer disputes a delivery.

And plenty more

Surveying, inspections, home care visits, claims assessment, facilities rounds. Tell us the job and we will tell you honestly whether this fits it.

What your people get

Three views, one record.

The person in the field

One screen. Start, pause, stop. Clear signals for whether the phone is holding a fix and whether anything is waiting to be sent. Nothing to remember, nothing to file at the end of the day.

The supervisor

Completed activities with the route drawn on a map, time on site, distance covered, and any gaps called out in plain language rather than buried.

The person who has to answer for it

An exportable record for the client, the auditor or the insurer, carrying a clear statement of what the record proves and what it does not.

Questions we get asked

The practical answers.

Does it really work with no signal?
Yes. Location comes from satellites, which need no mobile network. The journey is stored on the phone as it happens and sends itself later. A worker can be out of coverage all day and lose nothing.
What if the phone is locked in a pocket?
Recording continues. On Android a visible notification stays up for the whole activity, on iPhone the status indicator stays on, so nobody is being recorded without knowing it.
What if the app crashes or the phone dies?
Whatever was recorded up to that moment is already saved on the phone. When the app opens again it picks the unfinished activity back up. Try it in the demo with the kill button, or just refresh this page mid activity.
Will it drain the battery?
It is tuned per client. Recording detail is a dial, and the module eases off when a worker is stationary. We test against a full shift before anything goes live.
Are you tracking staff all day?
No, and that is deliberate. Nothing is recorded outside an activity the worker started themselves. There is no always on mode to switch on later, which is usually the difference between staff accepting this and resenting it.
How would we know a record was faked?
Each record is sealed as it is captured, and the office copy is checked against those seals. Editing a stored record breaks the seal and the activity is flagged for a human to look at. Press the edit button in the demo to watch it happen.
Can it go inside the app we already have?
That is the normal case. It is built as a module rather than a separate product, so your app keeps its own login, its own job records and its own look, and gains the tracking underneath.
Who owns the data?
You do. It sits in your system under your control, separated per organisation, with every access to a worker's location recorded.
What does it prove, honestly?
That the record you are holding is the record the phone produced, complete and in order. It does not prove who was carrying the phone or that satellites were never fooled. We put that in writing on every export rather than overselling it.
How long does it take to fit?
The module already exists, so the work is integration rather than invention. We look at your app, agree what an activity means in your business, and come back with a fixed scope and timeline.
