People are often surprised at how early we retire a chassis. The honest answer is that a chassis that has done a full season of national rounds is still a very good chassis. It is just no longer the one we want under a driver chasing a championship.
A chassis is a consumable
Chromoly work-hardens. The change is gradual and it never announces itself. At the front of a national grid, that difference matters. For a driver stepping up from club racing, it does not.
So we rotate. Every retired chassis is straightened, crack-tested and measured before it goes anywhere.
What that means if you are buying
Everything in our marketplace has been through the same workshop that prepares our race karts. That means:
- We know its actual history, not what a previous owner claims
- It has been checked by the mechanics who ran it
- It comes with the baseline setup sheet we used
We will also tell you when something is not right for you. Selling a senior chassis to a junior driver helps nobody, and we would rather keep the relationship than make the sale.
